"The opposite of addiction is not sobriety. It is human connection." — Johann Hari
You're invited to witness the opening of a space where connection, hope, and new beginnings take root.
WELCOME TO THE JUNIPER HOUSE
Transitional Sober-Living Rooted in Community, Identity, and a Firm Foundation to Thrive
Across many cultures, juniper has been associated with purification, protection, resilience, and restoration. It's a tree that thrives in difficult places, offers shade to the exhausted, and stands strong against the storm.
The Juniper House embodies this same spirit—a place of stability, safety, and space for women to establish the foundation for a new future. It's more than a home; it's a declaration that recovery is possible, that women deserve dignity, and that our community shows up for one another.
THE VISION IS FINALLY IN REACH
We have purchased a 2.3-acre property with a 3,364 square foot home that will house multiple women, including an on-site house manager. The property includes space to raise garden produce, chickens, and livestock—opportunities for women to reconnect with purpose, learn new skills, and contribute to their own healing.
This property is exactly what we need to meet a critical gap in our community's continuum of care.
Here is the hard reality: Many women exit treatment programs with no safe housing options. They face isolation, limited life skills, and significant barriers to employment—factors that dramatically increase the risk of relapse and contribute to Oregon's persistently high recidivism rates. Without stable housing, recovery is nearly impossible.
The Juniper House responds by providing safe, alcohol and drug-free housing combined with certified peer support, community connection, life-skills development, and employment readiness. We're not just offering a roof—we're offering relationship, accountability, and a pathway forward.
